High-Performance Corrosion-Resistant Polymer/Graphene Nanomaterials for Biomedical Relevance

Initially, pristine polymers were used to develop corrosion-resistant coatings. Later, the trend shifted use of polymeric nanocomposites in anti-corrosion materials. In this regard, graphene has been identified as an important nanomaterial. Consequently, polymer/graphene have applied for erosion protection applications. Among polymers, conducting (polyaniline, polypyrrole, polythiophene, etc.) and nonconducting (epoxy, poly(methyl methacrylate), matrices anticorrosion nanocomposites. The found several applications biomedical fields such biocompatible materials, biodegradable bioimplants, tissue engineering, drug delivery. performance nanomaterials depends on dispersion interaction with living systems. Future research nanocomposite is desirable perceive further advanced arenas.
